Sprites are basically collectible companions that give you passive perks in matches. You equip one before the game, level it up while playing, and if you successfully extract it, you keep all its progress forever.
When you first play Chapter 7 Season 3, you pick one starter Sprite:
After that, you unlock more by finding them during matches and extracting them.
Your equipped Sprite earns Sprite XP from normal gameplay. Things that give Sprite XP:
| Action | XP |
|---|---|
| 📦 Opening chests and ammo boxes | 75 |
| 🤝 Assists | 75 |
| 💀 Knock an opponent | 100 |
| 🏆 Extracting Sprites | 100+ |
| 💀 Eliminations | 200 |
| 👑 Victory Royale | Bonus |
Every Sprite can reach Level 5. Once you extract a Level 5 Sprite, it's considered Mastered forever.
If you die or leave the match before extracting, you lose the Sprite you were carrying. Its levels aren't gone forever — you just didn't permanently save that progress. That's why extraction is one of the biggest parts of the mode.
There are three ways to permanently keep a Sprite:
Successfully extracting a Sprite: permanently unlocks it, saves all the levels it earned, and gives you Sprite Dust.
Sprite Dust is the currency for the whole Sprite system. You use it to:
Every Sprite has its own passive ability. Some are simple, while others completely change how you play:
| Sprite | Ability |
|---|---|
| 💧 Water | Heals shields while in water |
| 🔥 Fire | Fire burst after dealing enough damage |
| 🌍 Earth | Better chest loot |
| 🌬️ Air | Faster sprinting and higher jumps |
| 👑 Boss | Increases max Health and Shield |
| 🥜 Burnt Peanut | Small chance for extra loot including Mythics |
Almost every Sprite can come in special variants. These aren't different Sprites — they're different versions of the same Sprite, each with an extra bonus.
Some variants are much rarer than others. Burnt Peanut is the only Sprite that doesn't have special variants.
No. You can't trade, gift, or sell Sprites. Every Sprite and every variant has to be found and extracted by you.
The goal isn't just getting every Sprite. Players are trying to:
That's why FNSpots is actually useful — it lets you instantly see what you've collected, what's still missing, and how close you are to 100%.
Hi! I'm GamerMisterE.
I built this tracker because I wanted a better way to keep track of my Sprite collection. I couldn't find a simple tool that showed what I had, what I was missing, and how close I was to 100% — so I decided to make one.
This project is built by a Fortnite player, for Fortnite players. My goal is to keep it free, easy to use, and updated whenever Epic adds new Sprites, variants, or mechanics.
If this tracker helps you on your collection journey, consider supporting future updates by using creator code GAMERMISTERE in the Fortnite Item Shop. Every bit of support helps me continue building free tools for the community.
